Tier0 Responsibilities

  • Initial tenant or subscription acquisition.
  • Set up for centralized logging and policy (prior to client team access).
  • Set up for initial groups and role assignments in Azure.
  • License acquisition for AAD licenses (this is required for all users logging into Azure).
  • VNET assignments.
  • Ingress controls (firewall, front door, app gateway).
  • License acquisition for Power BI.
  • Initial workspace creation for Power BI.
  • SIEM set up.
  • ITSM capabilities including asset management, change control, CMDB and service desk functionality.
  • Cost reporting for a project team if needed.
  • Vulnerability workbooks for vulnerability management.
  • Alerting set up for required stakeholders.
  • Initial dashboard creation and access for monitoring dashboards.
  • Tier 0 disaster recovery.
  • Identity platform set up (this could include deployment of Open IAM or deployment of Open IAM org). Tier 0 does not configure client specific settings in the identity platform.
  • Identity platform roles.
  • Support as needed with cloud function including enterprise app consent approvals or other functions that require global administrator.
  • Support as needed with cloud deployments and resource issues.
